Jared Richardson is an independent scholar and earned a Ph.D. in African American Studies from Northwestern University. His research interests include popular culture, materialisms, sound, temporality, subaltern ecologies and the visual cultures of the Black diaspora. Jared is currently co-producing a podcast ON race and environmentalism with the Haus der Kulturen der Welt of Berlin (HKW Berlin) for the 2018-2019 project Mississippi: An Anthropocene River.
